STAR: How did you get involved in Track and Field ?

Rosemarie: I was at my All Age School (Warsop All Age in Trelawny) one day and ... they were having a run off up by Holmwood school and my all age teacher told me about it and told the coach. In the run off I came second.

Schillonie: I got into track and field mainly because of my sister. I always admired my sister from I was small ... She brought me to a club by the name of Montego Bay Commex club (track club) when I was about six years old. I started track and field there. I used to To Barracks Road Primary School and every morning I used to reach school before 8 O'clock, I usually arrived at 7 O'clock.

Each time I had my friends meet me there they wanted to play a game by the name of stuck and freeze. When I started to run they realised that I am fast and they would tell me: "Schillonie you're a girl to play track and field" and I said "Sure". They said because I was a fast girl, girls should not be running me down ... that was how my track career began.

STAR: Did you do track and field at All Age School?

Rosemarie: I never did track and field before (going in the run off). When I was playing some stuck and pull and my all age teacher saw me and told the coach about me.

STAR: How do you balance training and school ?

Anastasia: After school I train, take an hour or two's sleep and then start to study.

STAR: When you have meets in between school, does that affect your work?

Anastasia: Not really. I have a study group and in the evenings I just collect notes after the meet and then try to balance up.

STAR: It is believed that Holmwood Technical's team is 'hype', is that a misconception?

Sonita: That's a mis-conception. We're nice if they come to us and speak to us. We are the nicest persons you'll ever meet.

STAR: So what about the hairstyles?

Sonita: It's just motivation for us to go out there in the same hairstyle and do well at all times
