Another Chinese mine disaster sends accident figures soaring

Rescuers retrieved five bodies on Sunday morning after another coal mine accident in China.
At least 28 people were killed in the coal mine accident in the north of the country.
The country's state-run media has revealed the accident occurred in the city of Hancheng, in Shaanxi province when fire broke out in the mine.
The reports said the miners had died after an electrical cable caught alight inside the coal shaft at the Xiaonangou mine.
There have been many mine accidents in China this year, and, according to official figures, 2,631 coal miners died in 1,616 mine accidents in 2009.
