Poll says Palin has hurt McCain in election run-up
    China National News
    Friday 31st October, 2008

According to the latest New York Times/CBS News poll, a growing number of voters are concerned John McCain's running mate, Sarah Palin, is not qualified to be vice president.

The pollsters concluded that fifty nine percent of voters had determined that Palin was not prepared for the job, up nine percentage points since the beginning of the month.

Nearly a third of voters polled said the vice-presidential selection would be a major factor influencing their vote for president.

Roughly three-quarters of voters saw Obama's running mate, Senator Joseph Biden as qualified for the job.

The people polled also said the choice of Palin had hurt McCain’s image and they had little confidence in his ability to pick qualified people for the administration.

Poll says Palin has hurt McCain in election run-up

It is obvious that Sarah Palin is unqualified for the VP job. When asked by a three year old what VP’s do, she gave a rather stupid answer saying VP’s were in charge of congress - what ignorance for God’s sake! How can she be VP is she doesn’t even know what the job she’s running entails! John McCain truly showed how flawed his own judgment is! The only reason the race is so close is republican racism. Fortunately many young white Americans are color blind when it comes to race and will vote for Obama based on issues rather than skin color. The truth is that Obama has come this far thanks mainly to the white vote, not the black one because blacks make up a mere 17% of the US population. Even if they all voted for Obama they wouldn’t get him anywhere.

    Sarah Palin's Twisted Logic

Today I am really convinced that Palin is a stupid person, not just a stupid person but a really really stupid person. Or else she is one of the most 'evil thinking' politicians ever and a terrible example of a Christian believer. If she is just stupid I can forgive her, but if she is just twisting words deliberately and thinks that people will fall for her rhetoric she is delusional. Here’s what she recently said... “If the media convince enough voters that that is negative campaigning, for me to call Barack Obama out on his associations then I don’t know what the future of our country would be in terms of First Amendment rights and our ability to ask questions without fear of attacks by the mainstream media." Sarah Palin source: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/us_elections_2008/7703397.stm Just because she evokes the First Amendment she thinks she is correct in her views? By definition of what she stated she has no idea of what 1st Amendment rights protect! Our FIRST AMENDMENT RIGHTS protect our ability to ask questions without fear of attacks by the GOVERNMENT...not the mainstream media. If anyone says stupid things to the mainstream media they are fair game. That’s what our 1st Amendment Rights cover among many other things. Freedom of speech is a two way street baby, and a double edged sword, be careful not to cut yourself with it, which she continues to do every day when she’s in front of a microphone or camera. If she fears attacks by the mainstream media she should really think before she opens her mouth!! Freedom of speech also means others have the same freedom of speech!....What a concept!!!!! Let’s talk about ASSOCIATIONS NOW... Her colleague and endorser of her campaign for Gov. of Alaska is none other than CONVICTED FELON Sen. Ted Stevens of Alaska. Stevens was accused of ethics violations several months ago (just like she is now) and he denied them (just like she does now) and he was recently indicted and convicted of corruption. Do you see a similar pattern here? Gov. Palin has repeatedly denied any wrong doing and yet she was recently criticized for ethics violations by a panel of bipartisan peers. Her colleagues found her to be in violation of ethics, do you think that they will just let her slide so easily when she goes back to Alaska? Is it any wonder she will do and say anything to become VP or to set her self up for 2012 in hopes that the GOP protects her under their umbrella, or is she just so blindy ambitious that she has no clue of her possible fate in Alaska? She is dividing the GOP even now, and if she is not elected VP on Nov. 4th, she is going to be under a microscope and scrutiny when she returns to her home in Alaska like never before. I admire that she is a strong woman, and a mother and that she has strong convictions. But I am tired of her hypocritical ignorance and her completely off base rambling of bullet points hoping that something that comes out of her mouth makes sense to people when it really doesn’t even make sense to herself. There are better more qualified women both Republicans and Democrats than Sarah Palin. She is a disgrace to Constitutional Law and Ethics. She would be an effective PTA president....maybe...The reality is that she calls herself a hockey mom but she is an insult to hockey moms that are working their butts off to just get ahead everyday. Even as Governor of Alaska let alone VP of the USA or even POTUSA she is pushing her limits of her mental capacity and her political prowess. What scares me the most about her is that she is not even humble enough to even recognize the limits of her mental capacity and the non stop pretzel logic that comes out of her mouth. Let’s hope America sends her home and that she never resurfaces again so that other more intelligent and respectful women in the future who wish to serve in national politics are not adversely affected by her hypocrisy, ignorance and mockery of the American political process.

    Palin more suited than Obama

In every aspect Palin is more suited to be President than Obama. She is the Gov. of Alaska, has been for over two years, she has run a business, been in charge of a military. Obama has been a Jr. Senator for 143 days, never run a business, has terrorists for friends, is a 20 year member of a anti-American, racist church, shows terrible judgment in everything he does.

    No desire to be VP

Sarah got a phone call in the middle of the night: “Would you like to run for VP?" She didn’t have any desire (or clue) to move into DC politics. And it shows.

    What have you been watching?

Palin is the only reason McCain is still in this race, fools. She can handle all three of the dolts while doing her nails, toes and hair. AND she ain’t a damn lawyer.

The McCain add says it all

That banner add next to this article says “Are you Joe the Plumber?" is to funny. No I have a college degree with a license to work in my field. So, an unlicensed plumber is the roll model for the Republican party.

Clearly McCain threw a hail Mary and it lost the game

It is always a gamble when in desperation you choose to throw a Hail Mary pass in the closing minutes. However, McCain chose to throw his way too early in the game and has watched it erode his chances. Palin is a Pentacostal zealot who doesn’t believe in evolution. McCain should have know that his choice of VP would be vetted in time for the election date. It is a testament to his poor decision making skills that he chose her. On that flawed decision alone he has shown he doesn’t measure up.

    McCain/Palin - time is up

Palin is “an arrogant know-nothing." Dangerous and reckless when people don’t know what they don’t know. Foolish move on the part of McCain, selling out to the far-right fringe. McCain might even lose his home state. People are smarter than you gave them credit for John.

    Racism

I am a 61 year old white woman, my mother is 87 and my sister is 54. We are proud to be voting for Barack OBama.Hopefully all this race stuff will go away. Barack has the best ideas for a good future for this country. John McCain while a good man is an old fart clining to his old ideas. My wonderful dad was like that. Good dad wouldn’t have wanted him for President.

    Excellent post, Concerned Patriot

You have hit so many good, solid points here. Thanks for including references as well. Very credible, unlike the garbage the right wing spews out, with nary a credible reference to back up any of their claims. Often their claims are made blatantly in the face of ready and plentiful evidence to the contrary. For instance, Palin’s that she was found not to have violated ethics laws right after she was found guilty. Sometimes I think such denial of reality and blatantly lying smacks of insanity, IMHO. Altogether, not exactly the definition of “fit for office," IMO.

    I always vote republican

I have voted republican all my life but not this time. I was stunned when I heard that McCain picked Palin. Why did he pick someone no one has ever heard of? Then I watched her on TV and was even more surprised to find out how little she knew about anything. Here McCain had such a wide selection of qualified people with experience and intelligence to chose from and he goes and picks a Peggy Hill (King of the Hill), clone. John McCain states that Palin does have “executive experience”. The 19 year old pimpeled face kid who is a manger at McDonalds also has executive experience, should I also trust him with a 600 trillion dollar budget and a finger on the nuclear defense button? I shall say not. I figured that if McCain does not have enough sense to pick a worthy VP then he will not have enough sense for other important issues. Then I watched all the debates and was stunned how bad McCain and Palin skirted the issues presented to them. They are more interested in talking points and name calling rather then telling America their plans to fix our country. So now for the first time in my life I voted for a democrat with a real VP for president. Sorry to say we lost our chance when we lost Mitt Romney.

    Reagan Democrats and Palin Republicans

Reagan attracted Democrats to vote Republican. Palin did just the opposite: moderate Republicans who believed in fiscal moderation, small government and civil liberties can no longer find anything of interest in Republican platform. Republicans are defecting in droves. I registered as independent for the last election and wrote in “Other” for president, neither Bush nor Kerry interested me. This time around, I am voting for Obama. I gave money to Obama’s campaign because I could not bear the thought that John McCain who acted with dignity 8 years ago traded all he stood for to get the Christian right vote. Palin style campaign, with kids paraded on the stage instead of being in school, with baby being demonstrated as a symbol, with ethics violations, with no real knowledge of any subject behind the sexy facade - no way! Palin is a poor man’s Hillary Clinton, without ideas, but with the skills to palin her way into the high office by befriending and then betraying. Read what Alaskans wrote about Palin style politics! It is all over the web.

Sara palin is smarter than the concerned patriot .

Sara Palin was talking about Joe the Plumber asking a question and then being investigated. He was investigated by a government employee at a government job. So the first amendment does apply. When really ignorant people try to look smart it easy to see their ignorance. This means you “Concerned Patriot” which posted @ 1219.

McCAIN-PALIN camp is proud of San Francisco's JROTC students to save Prop. V

Firstly, we McCAIN-PALIN camp likes to congratulate on JOHN NGUYEN, an Asian-American student has earned my Mathematics Department’s (my former retired Professor & wife) DALE and BETTY BEDGOOD Schorlarship from Texas A&M University-Commerce. All Asian-American communities are very proud of JOHN NGUYEN , keep up his good work in undergraduate. Secondly, we McCAIN-PALIN camp is proud of San Francisco’s JROTC students and their student-parents working so hard to appeal for Prop.V to restore the JROTC program after school. McCAIN-PALIN supports the JROTC students' American Patriotism. If you are JROTC students who are from middle-class or low-income needy family plans to apply Texas A&M University system after graduate from high school with 3.0 (or better) GPA, looking for the continuous ROTC scholarship, I recommand the JROTC Asian-students will majoring in “Petrochemistry Engineering” on Texas A&M University-College Station, Bryan campus. (SARAH PALIN is Alaska Governor, she knows oil industry better than anybody else); or treasure your ROTC full scholarship to majoring in 4-year “Pre-Medical”, or B.S. degree Double Majoring in “Industry and Technology” and “Physics” on Texas A&M University-Commerce campus. To serve your country U.S.A. and will earn great reward. Again, McCAIN-PALIN wishs the Prop. V can be passed to restore San Francisco’s JROTC. Good luck, Kids. ALL THE BEST in public-school.

Obama is unqualified even more then Palin yet no one is talking about his extremely thin resume but Fox news and Alex Jones. You deserve what you tolerate eight years of Bush and four years of Obama will radically change the very fabric of America. At this point anyone who supports the Constitution should be supported.
