A HINT TO THE WISE

We recognize with gratitude the significant role UNMIL has been playing in Liberia by not only maintaining the peace in the past two years here, but also in its supervisory role during the election season through its Civil Service section and the training of the police unit. Its voters education program, through UNMIL's 24-hour radio station, was a major inspiration that led to a whole-hearted, nation-wide participation by voters and by politicians in the electoral process. We note especially the participation by politicians who have usually demonstrated a lukewarm attitude to politics because of the past experience of 'so say one, so say all'.
